"I
never make design sketches and I have no fixed plan in mind.
The first object is often just the start of a whole series built upon
the same subject.
Nature is my favorite source of inspiration and sometimes the material
inspires me to create.
In my work of silver and gold jewels, I milled the material until it
was wafer thin. The pure soft precious metal lends itself admirably
to keep, to cherish, to offer….personal fetishes, love objects.
By keeping these seemingly worthless things in a small golden treasury,
their emotional meaning will be confirmed."
