Åsa Elmstam is one of five finalists who are selected for the The Art Jewelry Forum (AJF) Artist Award Competition - Emerging Artist 2013.

Åsa Elmstam bor och arbetar i Stockholm. Hon är utbildad på Konstfack i Stockholm varifrån hon tog BFA examen 2006.
Hon har också studerat en period på Masterutbildning vid Tokyo Zokei University, Japan. De senaste åren har hon varit med i en rad nationella och internationella utställningar, så som 2013-2015 "From the Coolest corner", 2012 "Contemporary Collected" Tokyo, Japan och 2012 "Tallinn Applied Art Triennial" Estonia.

"Jag använder min konst som bärare av de budskap jag brinner för och vill påverka samhället med. Det blir ofta politiskt förknippade teman som känns viktiga för mig att nå ut med. Och ibland gör jag saker bara för att det är kul med utsmyckning." -Åsa Elmstam

Åsa Elmstam lives and works in Stockholm, Sweden. She studied at Konstfack in Stocckolm from where she examina BFA 2006. She has also been studying Master at Tokyo Zokei University, Japan. The rescent years, she has been exhibiting in national and international exhibitions as 2013-2015 "From the Coolest corner", 2012 "Contemporary Collected" Tokyo, Japan och 2012 "Tallinn Applied Art Triennial" Estonia.

"I use my art as a carrier of the message I am passionate about and want to influence the society with. I almost always work with themes associated with political questions which for me feel really important to reach out with.
And sometimes I do things just because it is fun with adornment."

The necklace was shown in Platinas 10 year anniversary exhibition 2009 and at Frame, Hantwerksmesse 2010. 2012-2015 in "From the coolest Corner"
